Day on the Catamaran - my photos

After the success of the dolphin watching and with recomendation from our Mauritian friends we took a trip on a catamaran. The sun was blazing, the sea was calm and everyone was fine til we stopped for lunch.... As soon as we'd docked on yet another deserted island, it started to rain. This didn't dampen our spirits though, we got back on the boat, ate lunch and drank rum! The storm was heavy and the journey back was nice and choppy! We all went through about 5 towels each as they were just making us colder because they were wet. About half an hour before we arrived home the sun began to shine again, the dolphins arrived to cheer us up and the dancing started!!

Day on the Catamaran - professional photos

Some photos taken on the Catamaran by the professionals....we felt like we were models on a fashion shoot on the beach!

Flic en Flac

Just another pretty perfect beach!

Sacred Lake

When the sun didn't come out one day, we took our car/bus to the sacred lake. The photos would've looked better if the sun was out!

There were monkeys randomly roaming around the lake too!

In the lake were lots of sacrifices like statues wrapped in red cloth, coconuts and bananas!

Market in Rosehill

Mauritius shocked us all by how poor the towns were, especially when all you see on postcards and tv is 5* resorts! It reminded everyone of India. Because of this alot of the things in shops and the markets were fake. Our favourite find was a top saying 'FEXY and IDENPENDENT!' It took us all a while to see what was wrong with the word IDENPENDENT, the sun must've got to our heads!

Dolphin Watching

We spent the day on a boat going down to the south on the island to see some dolphins and apparently we beat the boats record and saw dolphins 6 times! We weren't allowed to swim with them as they were swimming too fast but we still had fun. At lunch time we stopped off at a deserted island for a BBQ.

Parasailing into the sunset...

When Becky decided she wanted to try parasailing she asked me to do it with her the sun must've gone to my head as i said yes! It was definately worth it though, to be flying high above the sea as the sun was setting. Perfect!
