Day trip to the beach at Boucan Canot...me and becky couldn't stop smiling the entire day, the beach was gorgeous!
Trip to the market...
Me and Becky go the fruit market every sunday morning to see what weird and wonderful fruit we can find! They also have stalls on the side of the road selling roast chickens.
These above are dragon fruits, and when you peel back the bright pink skin it is grey with black seeds and has a texture like a kiwi.
First Few Days in La Reunion!
So we arrived in La Reunion after an extremely long flight! The taxi from the university failed to pick us up at the airport so our french (well my spanish mainly!) was tested straight away! We got to the uni and got told that everyone was on their lunch break so could we come back in a few hours. This would have been all very well if it was 37 degree heat and we weren't wearing jeans, boots and several layers! ( i even had gloves in my coat pocket from leaving the snow in england!) Finally we got given our rooms, mine is on the top floor with a balcony over looking the sea, maybe the wait in the heat was worth it! After pinching ourselves several times to make sure we were here, we headed off into St Denis to explore....
